Mansfield Hotel Victoria

Recently I gave a marketing seminar for the Victorian Hotels Association at the Mansfield Hotel, Mansfield in the High Country of Victoria. The hotel is run by Sue Crow and her son Chelton. It is an outstanding operation. Yet, a number of previous operators had ‘gone bust’ in the same hotel.

I asked Chelton and Sue how they had created such a successful operation. (The hotel has won awards for being the Best Hotel in country Victoria without gaming). “There are three things,” said Chelton. (1) Creating a WOW factor with our Pizza Oven (2) Providing outstanding food and (3) and the most important factor - employing and working with staff who really enjoy working here.
